Strength first, colour second
An overlay is a layer of gel cured over your natural nail. It adds thickness where the nail is thin, holds a split together, and gives polish something solid to sit on — so the finish lasts and the nail underneath gets a chance to grow.
We work with builder gel and hard gel — no acrylic, no strong fumes. If you want length, the same gels build over a form or tip. Your technician will tell you which suits your nails and how often you’ll need a fill.
BIAB Builder Gel Overlay
Builder in a Bottle, sculpted to a natural dome over your own nail. The gentlest option for thin nails.
Hard Gel Overlay
A firmer shell than BIAB, filed thin where you want it. Good for nails that flex and lift.

How an appointment runs
Three stages, about an hour and a quarter.
Preparation
Nails filed and shaped to the length you want, cuticles pushed back, surface dehydrated so nothing lifts later.
Application
Gel applied in thin layers and cured under lamp between each one — built up over the stress point, thin at the cuticle.
Finishing
Filed and refined to shape, buffed or topped with gel colour, then oil worked into the cuticles.

An overlay gives your natural nail a rigid shell to grow under, so it keeps its shape instead of peeling at the free edge, splitting at the sides or bending the moment it gets any length. Most clients see real length within two or three fills.
